Welcome

In 2008 Queens Park hosted the first ever Southside Festival, attracting over 8000 people on the day. Many more attended the 50 plus events held in various Southside venues during the month long festival. After the success of last years event, we are pleased to announce that this year, the main festival will extend over two days and is expected to attract over 30,000 people to Queens Park.

The Southside Festival is a celebration of everything which is great about the Southside of Glasgow. The Festival aims to celebrate the cultural diversity and community spirit of this unique area of the city. The Festival is organised by the community for the community.

This year the Festival takes place in Queens Park on the 23 and 24 May. The festival will kick off at 11.30am with a parade through the streets of the southside winding its way to the park, where the festival will be opened by a special guest and the festivities will begin. Click on to the Events page for a full list of what's happening throughout the weekend and in the weeks leading up to the main event.
